Does Amazon Eero Work with FiOS?

Yes, an Amazon Eero is compatible with Verizon FiOS.

If you're like most people, you probably use your home WiFi network for a variety of activities, from streaming movies and TV shows to online shopping and gaming. And if you're an Amazon Prime member, then chances are good that you also use Amazon Eero to help extend and strengthen your home WiFi signal. 

But what happens when you try to connect Amazon Eero with FiOS?

Unfortunately, the two services are not compatible with each other. I know that you are surprised to read this. Don't worry, the twist is below.

If you want to use both FiOS and Amazon Eero in your home, you'll need to set up two separate tasks. Firstly you need to set up Eero with Verizon FiOS and Bridge the Eero app.

(i) How to set up Eero with Verizon FiOS?

If you are looking to set up your eero with Verizon Fios, the process is fairly simple. First, you'll need to connect your existing Fios router to your ONT (Optical Network Terminal) via Ethernet. You'll then need to call Verizon technical support to switch your ONT from coax to Ethernet. After that, you'll need to release the IP address on your Fios router, factory reset it, and return the equipment to Verizon.

Once those steps are complete, you can begin setting up your eero. First, plug your eero into a power source, then download the eero app. The app will then guide you through setting up your eero. Once your eero is connected to your router, you'll be able to create an eero network with your Fios router.

Setting up eero with Verizon Fios is a relatively easy process, and can be completed in just a few steps. With the eero app guiding you through the process, you can have your eero network up and running quickly.

If you want to access all the features of FiOS TV, you will need to go bridge mode in the Eero app. In this app, you need to plug your primary Eero into the modem. 

(ii) How to bridge your Eeros?

1. Open the eero app on your mobile device and log in to your eero account.

2. Tap on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the app and then tap on Network Settings.

3. Tap on "Advanced".

4. Tap on the “DHCP & NAT" to enable bridge mode and then select the "Bridge" option.

5. Tap on the Save button to save your changes.

8. Your eero network is now in bridge mode and ready to use.

After activating the Bridge mode, your Eero enables the FiOS router to manage the internet signal routing. FiOS router will still control Advanced networking features.
